Ecuador Pensioner Visa

The Pensioner Temporary Resident Visa (officially: visa de residencia temporal jubilado) is one of the most popular visas among expats in Ecuador. With this visa, you can stay in Ecuador for two years. Twenty-one months after receiving this visa, you can apply for a Permanent Resident Visa.

To qualify for this visa, you must demonstrate a minimum monthly pension or retirement income of $1,410 per month (as of 2025).
